Patna: The investigation of the Economic Offenses Wing (EOU) of Bihar Police is considered to be the main reason behind the removal of NTA Chief Subodh Kumar after irregularities were found in the NEET UG paper leak case. Because the EOU has stated in its investigation that negligence was committed in the storage, handover and even transportation of the question paper at the examination center in Hazaribagh. On Sunday, the EOU gave information about the entire investigation so far through a press release. Along with this, the EOU has also told in its report what has been the role of the arrested persons in this whole matter and how the papers have been delivered to the candidates. Also, the students have been made to memorize the solutions of all those questions by finding them through the solver gang.
EOU said that the analysis of the prescribed security standards related to the exam provided by NTA, which includes standards of transportation, storage, hand over and take over of question papers, revealed that these have not been fully complied with by the concerned, due to which the tampering of the boxes and envelopes of question papers by them could not be detected. Intensive research is being done to find out at what level and at what time the breach occurred in this entire chain of custody.
It has also been informed that the suspicious polybag containing the question paper from the concerned examination centre Oasis School, Kallu Chowk, Hazaribagh, the original question paper packing recovered from the concerned candidate and the concerned packing trunk have all been tampered with in the preliminary investigation. The EOU has also informed in its press release that the investigation of the entire case is being handed over to the CBI as per the instructions. Let us tell you that the EOU has arrested five people from Deoghar, Jharkhand last Sunday, which also includes an accused named Chintu. The EOU is continuing to question Chintu.
