According to news agency ANI, the first FIR was registered at Kamla Market police station under Section 2023 of the Indian Penal Code. Three new criminal laws have come into force from today. A case has been registered against a street vendor under Section 285 of the Indian Penal Code for creating obstruction and selling under the foot over bridge of New Delhi Railway Station.
According to the FIR, the accused has been identified as Pankaj Kumar, a resident of Barh in Bihar. Police said in the FIR that the accused was selling tobacco and water on a cart near the main road, causing trouble to passers-by. When the police patrolling the area asked the accused to remove his cart, he ignored the officers.
Let us tell you that today, i.e. from July 1, three new laws, Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Protection Code and Indian Evidence Act have been implemented in place of IPC, CrPC and Indian Evidence Act across the country.
