In uttrackhand during under-construction of the Centre’s ambitious Char Dham tunnel project at least 40 people are trapped inside the tunnel project collapsed in the stretch between Silkayara and Polgaon villages of Yamunotri in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. This incident took place on the day of Diwali when work was going on in the tunnel. There are no reports of any casualties. Rescuers teams faced proble to communicate with labourers and providing oxygen and food supply to them through water pipes.

An under-construction tunnel of the Centre’s ambitious Char Dham all-weather highway project collapsed in the stretch between Silkayara and Polgaon villages of Yamunotri in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.
In a significant setback on Diwali morning, a part of an under-development passage of the Middle’s aggressive Scorch Dham all-climate roadway project fell in the stretch among Silkayara and Polgaon towns of Yamunotri in Uttarkashi region of Uttarakhand.
40 laborers are caught inside the passage after a part imploded.
Salvage groups — containing more than 150 staff from Public Catastrophe Reaction Power (NDRF), SDRF, Indo-Tibetan Line Police (ITBP) and Boundary Streets Association (Brother) — were engaged with contacting the caught men.
Salvage procedure on war balance
Addressing mediapersons, Uttarkashi region justice Abhishek Ruhela said, “The salvage activity is going on a conflict balance. Penetrating machines have been sent with the goal that a protected getaway section can be made and the caught individuals can be brought out soon.”
Authorities figure out how to contact caught workers
As per Uttarkashi area organization, on Sunday night, authorities figured out how to contact caught workers through walkie talkie. During their correspondence, workers affirmed that each of the 40 individuals are protected and requested to send some food. Following this, food parcels were given through supply pipes.
Diwakar Dangwal, leader engineer Jal Sansthan, who was checking the activity around evening time, informed that endeavors to save the caught workers is happening without a break.
’35 meters are still to be covered’
We have moved around 15 mtrs inside the passage, and around 35 mtrs are still to be covered. Everybody is protected, we have given oxygen and water to them. We are advancing sideways to’go inside the passage. In the wake of laying out correspondence, around 40 individuals are caught inside, said Prashant Kumar, Circle Official, Uttarkashi.
