The main objective of the Pond Matsyaiki Vishesh Sahayata Yojana 2024 is to provide special assistance to the fish farmers of Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Most Backward Classes of the state. Through this, “package assistance” will be provided to sub-units like pond cultivation, installation of boring pumpset, inputs for fish farming, shed construction, mechanical ventilation. This assistance will not only ensure the livelihood (food and protein security) of these types of fish farmers but will also provide permanent employment and income.

Pond Fisheries Special Assistance Scheme 2024: Beneficiary Selection and Application Process

If you are from Scheduled Caste, Tribe or Most Backward Class and have private or leased land, you are eligible for benefits under the Talab Matsya Palan Special Assistance Scheme. It is mandatory to have private or leased land for pond construction under this scheme. For private land, you have to submit land ownership certificate or updated revenue receipt, while for leased land, you have to attach a deed or agreement registered under non-judicial stamp (₹1000) for at least 9 years with the application form.

Implementation of Pond Fisheries Special Sakayatha Scheme 2024

Pond Matsyaiki Special Assistance Scheme 2024 will be implemented in all the districts of Bihar. An individual or family will get the benefit of package unit for pond construction with maximum 1 acre and minimum 0.4 acre water area. The beneficiary will be selected by a committee headed by the Deputy Fisheries Director. The benefit of this scheme will be available only to those Scheduled Caste / Tribe farmers who have not got the benefit of the already approved plateau area pond construction scheme.

Pond Fisheries Special Assistance Scheme 2024: Grants and Financial Assistance

Under the scheme, 70% subsidy of ₹ 10.10 lakh per acre will be provided for construction of rearing pond and setting up of all related units. The remaining amount has to be paid by the beneficiary himself or through bank loan.
