Kannur Squad (Malayalam)
The film made history as the first Mammootty film to enter the Rs 100 crore club. The police procedural stars Mammootty as ASI George, who along with his team scoured the country to arrest a criminal. They are part of the Kannur force, a group of dedicated vigilantes who ensure justice for the wronged. The film is directed by Roby Varghese and written by his brother Ronnie and Mohammed Shafi.

Chithha (Tamil)
The film is based on a man named Eeswaran who raises his niece single-handedly. However, things change when she is kidnapped and molested by a child. The film starred Siddharth and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles and was praised for its sensitive portrayal of child sexual abuse. The emotional scenes, social commentaries and character sketches set Siddha apart from its predecessors.

Ghost (Kannada)
In ‘Pe’, Shiva Rajkumar plays Thalavai Muthanna, popularly known as Big Daddy, who enters a privatised prison in search of justice and takes the inmates hostage. ACP Sengappa (Jayaram) plays a police officer who is brought in to solve the problem. The film revolves around this battle between the police officer and Periyappa. MG’s heist action thriller also stars Jayaram, Anupam Kher, Prashant Narayanan, Sathya Prakash and Archana Jois. Directed by Srinivas Shiva Rajkumar

The Railway Men (Hindi)
The web series directed by Shiv Rawal revolves around a group of railway personnel who risk their lives during the Bhopal gas tragedy and rescue operation. The series features a star cast including R Madhavan, Divyendu, KK Menon and Bapil Khan. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the web series is scripted by Ayush Gupta. The trailer of this four-episode series created a lot of buzz.
