NEET PG 2024 Counselling Key Dates, Registration Process, and Latest Updates Explained
Unfortunately, thousands of medical candidates who appeared for the NEET PG 2024 exam are currently in a state of uncertainty. Allegations of paper leak, sudden exam changes and long delays in counselling have left them upset.
In response, 19 candidates filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking the release of the NEET PG answer key and a clear interpretation of the normalisation rule to maintain transparency in the national-level exam.
With over 2 lakh candidates waiting for clarity on the NEET PG 2024 results and counselling process, the Supreme Court heard the case on September 13. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud sought a response from NBEMS and the next hearing is scheduled for September 20- counselling registration will begin on the same day.
The schedule distributed by the Federation of All India Medical Associations (FAIMA) and selected medical institutes states that the MCC NEET PG 2024 counselling registration will begin from September 20. However, the official NEET PG counselling dates are yet to be updated on mcc.nic.in.
Despite the notification, NBEMS is yet to release the NEET PG cut-off marks or raw results, which has left candidates more confused.
Meanwhile, the Medical Consultative Council (MCC), which oversees the counselling process for undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses, has announced the facility to change citizenship from Indian to Non-Resident Indian (NRI) for NEET PG counselling.
For applicants who wish to change their nationality to NRI, the MCC has set the deadline to submit applications through the official portal as September 17.
NEET PG, the entrance exam for MD, MS, Post-MPBS Diploma and other related courses, has been mired in controversy this year due to these delays.
