Jodhpur STM Priyanka Bishnoi dies: Former STM Priyanka Bishnoi of Jodhpur (33) died on Wednesday night at SIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad. She had a hysterectomy at Vasundhara Hospital in Jodhpur about 20 days ago, after which her condition deteriorated. The family accused the hospital of negligence in treatment. Priyanka, a 2016 batch RAS officer, was recently transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Jodhpur Corporation.
Orders to investigate complaint of negligence Priyanka’s father-in-law Serum Bishnoi had given a complaint to the collector alleging negligence in treatment. He said that she was given too much anesthesia during surgery, due to which her condition deteriorated. Jodhpur District Collector Gaurav Agarwal has ordered the Principal of the Medical College to form a committee and investigate. The committee will submit its report in three days.

Priyanka’s father-in-law had written a letter to the Jodhpur Collector alleging negligence in the Karupiya operation. He said that the reason for Priyanka’s condition deteriorating after the surgery could be wrong anesthesia or heavy bleeding. She was taken to Ahmedabad on 7 September.
On the complaint of the family, Jodhpur District Collector Gaurav Agarwal ordered an inquiry by the Medical College Committee. Medical College Principal Dr. Bharti Saraswat said that a committee of 5 specialist doctors has been formed to investigate the matter. Further action will be taken after the committee’s report.
Dr. Sanjay Makwana of Vasundhara Hospital said in a report of Vasundhara Hospital that there were no complications during the operation. He said that Priyanka had a congenital AV defect in the brain and it leaked after the surgery, which worsened her condition.
Untimely death after a brilliant tenure: Priyanka Bishnoi was honored by the management on August 15 for her excellent work. She served on important posts in Dungarpur, Churu and Vijaynagar. Recently, she was posted as SDM in Jodhpur.
Inspiring journey to become RAS: Priyanka had told in a show that she had dreamed of becoming a RAS in 8th class. Due to her hard work and dedication, she got the post of RAS officer in 2017. Priyanka Bishnoi’s last rites will be held on Thursday afternoon at her in-laws’ house in Balodi.
