Educational Qualification for JTET 2024

Age Limit for JTET 2024

Application Fee for JTET 2024
General, OBC and EWS categories have to pay Rs 1300 as application fee for Paper 1. If candidates want to apply for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 then the fee is Rs 1500.
SC, ST and Divyang candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 700 for Paper 1 and Rs. 800 for both papers. For tribals, the fee for Paper 1 is Rs. 500 and Rs. 600 for both papers.
Exam Pattern for JTET 2024
The teacher eligibility test will be conducted in offline mode. There is no negative marking and all the questions will be multiple choice. The exam paper will be in both Hindi and English and the duration of the exam will be two and a half hours.

The salary of teachers selected through JTET varies depending on their rank and experience.
- Head Teacher (Class 1-5): ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 (Level 6)
- Senior Head Teacher (Class 6-8): ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 (Level 7)

- OR Master Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- OR Passed final year of Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- OR Graduation with minimum 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
Paper-II (Senior Primary Teacher, Class 6-8)
- Graduation and must have passed final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- OR Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed final year of 1-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- OR Master Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- OR Must have passed Master Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks or passed final year of 4-year BA/BSc.Ed or PAET/BSc.Ed.
- OR Graduation with minimum 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).
Exam Process for JAC JTET 2024
The selection process for JTET 2024 consists of the following stages:
- Written Examination: Candidates have to pass the JTET examination which will consist of two papers (Paper I for Primary Teachers and Paper II for Senior Teachers).
- Interview: Selected candidates will be called for interview.
