Actor Shreyas Talpade has dismissed his death rumour and assured fans that he is alive. Sharing a note on Instagram, he criticised trolls for hurting his family’s feelings and ‘playing with emotions’.
Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade has reacted to his death rumour. He shared a post on Instagram assuring his fans of his safety. He also hit back at trolls for ‘creating unnecessary anxiety’ and hurting his family’s feelings.
False rumours of Shreyas Talpade’s death spread rapidly on social media, leading to widespread concern among his fans. Addressing the disturbing misinformation, the actor released a statement condemning those spreading false rumours.
His long note read, “I would like to reassure all my loved ones that I am alive, happy and healthy. I am aware of a post that has gone viral about my demise. While I understand that humour has its place, when misused, it started as a joke and now creates unnecessary anxiety, playing with the emotions of those who care about me, especially my family.” Shreyas further added, “My younger daughter, who goes to school every day, is already worried about my well-being and constantly asks questions and seeks reassurance. This false news deepens her fears and she is forced to face questions from her peers and teachers. Such emotions arise which we try to manage as a family.”

Criticising the trolls, he said in a separate post, “To those who are pushing this content, please stop and consider the impact. Many people have sincerely prayed for my wellbeing and it is sad to see humour being used against me. When you spread rumours like this, it can hurt feelings, my loved ones. While it can cause anguish and disrupt our lives, it doesn’t just affect the person targeted – it affects their family, especially young children who don’t fully understand the situation (sic) though.”
He concluded, “I am so grateful to everyone who has reached out to me during this time. Your care and love means so much to me. I have one simple request to the trolls: please stop. Don’t joke. I don’t know.” I don’t want anything like Talpade to happen to you at the expense of others.”
In December 2023, Shreyas Talpade suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. Reflecting on this terrible tragedy, the actor shared with a media outlet that he considers recovery as a ‘second chance in life’. Shreyas is currently shooting for ‘Welcome to the Jungle’.
