Although the government had already announced to waive off loans up to Rs 50,000, but now the government has increased the loan waiver of up to Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh. We are telling you that whether the last date for this has been fixed as 31st March or not, whether it is 2020 or not, the loans before and after this date will be waived off.
An official of the Agriculture Department said that in 2021-22, 1.91 lakh farmers will benefit from this, Rs 50 thousand of more than 4.73 lakh farmers have been waived and more than Rs 1900 crore has been given to the banks.
In June, Jharkhand Chief Minister Sambhai Soren had announced loan waiver and now Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has increased the loan waiver limit to Rs 2 lakh.
The Jharkhand cabinet has decided to increase the limit of the agricultural loan waiver scheme from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh. Its last date will be March 31, 2020 and the loan till this date will be waived off.
