Apart from songs like ‘Girl’s Night’ and ‘Indigo’, Dot’s album Practice Rooms and her debut EP (Extended Play) called ‘Commotion’ were released with Playbook Records. His first song ‘Everybody Loves Techno’ was released on YouTube in 2017 and became very popular.
His next album, Sea Creatures on the Couch, will be released this year. Todd believes that songwriting is his favorite part of being a musician. “I’ve always loved the space between words and music,” he says, believing that religion is an important part of making music. “If it doesn’t mean a lot to you, even in the abstract, you can’t deliver it with truth or honesty, which is what you want,” he said.
Todd believes that making music is one thing, but sharing it is even more important, and considers it “scary, but also liberating.” The song ‘Asymmetrical’, which he shared on his YouTube channel, not only got him the opportunity to repeat songs like ‘Dishoom Dishoom’ and ‘Sunoh’ in The Archies, but also had the opportunity in the world of arts.
Singer-lyricist Ankur Tiwari says that Tat’s unique style made him stand out. “He writes beautiful words that blend with the music he creates. It’s interesting that his music gives me a feeling of nostalgia, but it’s also very new,” he said.
In 2024, Todd wants to focus on writing. “I think this year I decided to be myself,” he concluded.
