In Jharkhand, former CM Hemant Soren has been released on bail in a money laundering case related to a land scam. There are speculations that Hemant may once again take on the responsibilities of the state, replacing Champai Soren. However, no official statement has been issued by the party yet. Mahua Maji, the party’s Rajya Sabha MP, has said that the decision is up to the JMM and whatever decision is made will be accepted.
Meanwhile, the state’s current Chief Minister, Champai Soren, claimed that their alliance is strong. When asked about the leadership of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren said before leaving that he had handed over the seat to Champai Soren, now that he has returned, what does Champai Soren think? In response, CM Champai Soren said that their alliance is strong, and the party and organization are the most important things.
Champai Soren was asked about his reaction, to which he said that from the beginning they had confidence in the judiciary and that Hemant Babu’s name was not in any land records or accounts related to the scam. They always believed that the court would side with Hemant Babu.
When asked if Hemant Babu’s release would strengthen them in the upcoming assembly elections, he replied that they had previously received the mandate in Hemant Babu’s name, fought the 2019 elections in his name, and they will continue to do so. He said that their party and alliance will remain strong both inside and outside the government.
Responding to BJP’s accusation that they claimed Hemant Babu was jailed due to BJP, but now they are expressing faith in the law, Champai Soren said that they always had faith in the judiciary and openly stated that the allegations were false.
When asked if they are ready for elections if they happen early, he said that their alliance is very strong and ready for any situation.
Finally, when asked what Champai Soren thinks now that Hemant Babu has returned and he had handed over the seat to him before leaving, Champai reiterated that these are matters of the alliance, and the organization is the most important thing.
