Kolkata, June 24 (Language) All the permanent employees of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) company Britannia Industries Limited’s Taratala factory in Kolkata have accepted the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS).
A company official said on Monday that acceptance of VRS by all the permanent employees of the plant will not have any significant impact on the business operations of the company.
The company had recently informed the stock market about acceptance of VRS by all the permanent employees of Taratala plant.
The Taratala plant is one of the oldest biscuit manufacturing plants of Britannia in the country. The land was leased to the company by the then Kolkata Port Trust (now Syama Prasad Mukherjee Port Trust) more than seven decades ago.
